Ontario Works Eligibility

How to apply for Ontario works?
Here Ontario Works residents of Simcoe County including the City of Barrie and the City of Orillia can apply by telephone or the Ontario Works online application for temporary care assistance.
Ontario Works Online Application
Step 1: To apply for Ontario Works online, you must first go to “www.ontario.ca/social-assistance“.
Step 2: Click on Apply for Ontario Works, and enter your home postal code. you can check your home postal code from the available link.
Step 3: After that, provide your personal details which are required such as full legal name, dates of birth, and status in Canada.
Step 4: Finally filling out all of the fields, click the “Submit” button.

To apply by phone you need to call the Toronto Application & Support Center at 416-338-8888 and select option 3 or call our toll-free number at 1-888-465-4478.
Customer supports is open on Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. and is closed on weekends and public holidays. The call time takes about 45 minutes.
